Claude Daniel Ankney, age 79 of Medina, passed away December 23, 2016 at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland. He was born August 8, 1937 in Richeyville, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Claude and Minnie (Kirk) Ankney. Claude retired from the Ford Motor Co. in Brookpark, Ohio and Custom Pak in Medina, Ohio. 

Claude is survived by his son Daniel (Linda) Ankney; grandchildren Brandon Ankney, Paul Hay, and Shannon Tilden; great-grandchildren Connor, Dillon, and Gemma; and many cousins and good friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Christine Koontz and Marie Ankney and his brothers Levi and Garrett Ankney. Claude was the last of his immediate family.

Friends will be received from 12 PM to 2 PM, the time of Service, Monday, January 2, 2017 in the Greenlee Funeral Home 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA. Interment will follow in the Beallsville Cemetery.
